How long do you keep my data?
All the data submitted to Happy Scribe is saved with no time limitation. You can access your transcript without any time limitation. Note that you keep full control on your data! You can delete both the text and the audio directly from your personal dashboard. What file formats are accepted?

What is the turnaround?
What is the turnaround ? It usually takes 1/2 of the audio length. For example if your file is 30 minutes long, we will transcribe it within 15 minutes. It can be a bit longer if it's a video file.
How to delete a transcript?
On your personal dashboard, find the transcript that you want to delete and click on the 3 blue dots on the right side of the screen. In the drop down window which appears, click on 'Delete'. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete the file. If yes, press 'Ok'. Otherwise press 'Cancel'.
How can I cut/trim my file?
You may want to trim your file before uploading it for different reasons: You only want to transcribe a part of your recording A part of the recording is just blank etc ... To trim your file, you can use the following services: Online: AudioTrimmer On your desktop: Quicktime VLC
How do I delete my account?
Although it pains us to lose a member of our Happy Scribe community, we understand that sometimes you need to delete your account so here's how to do it. How to upload a file?
The uploading process is very straight forward. To upload a audio or a video file, click on Upload a new file and follow this process: To select your file, click on "Select the file". Why is my file locked?
As part of your free trial on Happy Scribe you get 30 minutes for free. When your file is locked, it means that you do not have enough minutes to get it transcribed. In that case, you have three options. Unlock your account by selecting one of our plans. Trim your file to 30 minutes so you can try our service before selecting a plan. Which languages are supported?

How do I cancel my Monthly Subscription?
We do not charge any penalties for you to cancel your monthly subscription and here's how to do it. Login to your account Click on My Account and Settings Select Unsubscribe/Delete Account. Is it possible to transcribe a file that has multiple languages in it?
From time to time you may record an interview where the interviewer and the interviewee are speaking different languages. Unfortunatly in that case, Happy Scribe is only able to transcribe one language per transcription.
Do you do verbatim transcript?
Happy Scrive doe not provide verbatim transcript. However, you have the option to add the verbatim using our interactive Editor. Learn how the Editor works here.
How to upload a file from Google Drive?
If you have your file stored on Google Drive you can connect Happy Scribe to your Google account to retrieve the files that you want to get transcribed. To start, click on Bulk Upload, a little popup will open. Click on Google Drive on the left side. Then, click on Connect Google Drive, you will be redirected to Google website where you'll have to sign-in. Once you have connected your Drive, go back to Happy Scribe and select the files that you want to upload.
I uploaded twice the same file (Duplicates)
We have rule on our backend to avoid charging twice for the same file. Thus, you won't be charged for uploading a file twice on Happy Scribe. If you think that you were charged twice, get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
How to upload a file from Dropbox?
If you have your file stored on Dropbox you can connect Happy Scribe to your Dropbox account to retrieve the files that you want to get transcribed. To start, click on Bulk Upload, a little popup will open. Click on Dropbox on the left side. Then, click on Connect Dropbox, you will be redirected to Dropbox website where you'll have to sign-in. Once you have connected your Dropbox, go back to Happy Scribe and select the files that you want to upload.
